The Festive Spirits return in St James's
Calling lovers of all things festive - the St James's Spirit lights return on Thursday 5th November 2026.
The much beloved and long-awaited return of the St James's festive lights is nearly over, with the Spirits soon to be illuminating the London skyline once again.
Since their first installation in 2015, the Spirits have marked the arrival of the season of joy in St James's, and have been admired and photographed by millions of visitors from around the world. Created by James Glancy Design, they're accompanied by beautiful light schemes along Jermyn Street, Princes Arcade - not forgetting the fabulous Wishing Tree in St James's Market, where visitors can make a donation to Felix, London's largest food redistribution charity.
The lights run throughout the heart of central London, from All Souls Church at the north of Regent Street, down through Piccadilly and St James's, culminating at the beautiful tree on Waterloo Place. This year, to mark their return, we'll be celebrating with an evening of exclusive offers from some of St James's best loved brands on the 5th November, for those keen to make a start on their festive shopping.
What's more, over on Regent Street, we'll be marking the occasion by closing the road to traffic between 5PM and 9PM, allowing you to capture the iconic lights from all angles.
For the latest news on the programme of the festive lights, we recommend following our social profiles, where we'll be sharing all the updates in the lead up to this special day. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
