Menswear Icon Efe Efeturi on Style, Shopping and St James’s
Chic, elegant and thoughtful are all words that define Efe Efeturi’s style, so who better to spend the day exploring St James’s? See how the menswear influencer shops, dines and unwinds around the neighbourhood.
Efe (@efe.efeturi) has become one of menswear’s most trusted voices on Instagram, earning a reputation as the go-to source of style inspiration through his thoughtful fashion and lifestyle content.
On a mission to “style the everyday with smarter choices and timeless tastes”, Efe first got into fashion after noticing how many men stop putting effort into their wardrobes as they get older - not because they don’t care, but because they rarely see themselves represented.
Efe soon recognised how knowing where to shop and what to buy can become tricky without a relatable reference point, so he did what any noble fashionista would do and set out to become one himself.
I now seek out elegant, stylish pieces through careful research and thoughtful styling to give the modern gentleman easy, confident options.
Finding a Personal Style
Efe’s own style doesn’t fit into one single box. His influences span cultures and regions: “The precision of Italian tailoring, the restraint of English elegance, the workwear minimalism of Japanese denim, and vibrant touches drawn from across the globe.”

Combining elements that pique his interest has allowed Efe to curate a personal style with timeless character, and he’s a firm believer in the power of refining and adapting your wardrobe.
"Style isn’t one-dimensional; it’s a mode of self-expression that evolves with you."
As a long-time visitor to the neighbourhood, Efe knows a thing or two about the best ways to enjoy Central London. We’re handing over to him to tell you all about them!
Where to Shop for Menswear in London
I’ve shopped in St James’s for as long as I can remember — it’s packed with exceptional brands and visible craftsmanship wherever you look. Whenever I’m after a unique piece, it’s my go-to spot.
Every time I’m here, I make a point of visiting houses like Crockett & Jones and Turnbull & Asser. I view them as the foundation of my wardrobe; I go there knowing I’ll find the timeless, high-calibre pieces that allow me to move between suited elegance and global street style.
Best Dining Spots in St James’s
I love to get out and about early, so I choose a quiet spot like Bija to grab a light bite for breakfast before moving on for the day.
My favourite dining spot would be Francatelli. Their seasonal, locally sourced menu offers a brilliant mix of flavours, and the restaurant’s peaceful location away from the shopping crowds makes it perfect for relaxing over a meal.
Once the day’s adventure is over, I also like to find a bar for a drink to slow the evening down even more. The Swan Bar at Maison Assouline has a great selection of wines and cocktails.
How to Spend a Day in the Neighbourhood
Whenever I visit St James’s, I like to create a balanced experience; it’s never just about the shopping, even if that takes up most of my day. I usually drop into an art gallery to 'reset' my eyes before heading back out to discover more of the area's hidden shopping gems.
I also enjoy finding a green space to sit and soak it all in. St James’s Park is the natural choice!
Since turning my passion for menswear into a lifestyle, St James’s has become my natural habitat. I love the spontaneity of wandering its streets and letting a specific texture or silhouette pull me in - and in this neighbourhood, something always does.
